Get the right protection for your application

An IK rating relates to the degree of protection provided by a luminaire against external mechanical impacts.  The code is defined to European standard EN 62262 and International standard IEC 62262 (2002).

The code is intended to provide an easy to understand guide on the level of protection provided from a luminaire. Measured in joules it is rated on a scale of 00 to 10

As shown above, the IK10 rating is the highest degree of protection. Luminaires with this level of protection are required for more demanding applications including public spaces, workshops or any areas where impact with the luminaire may occur.
