Holy Rood Church

Striking bespoke design provides Holy Rood Church with a modern lighting solution

Gamma was commissioned to design a bespoke lighting solution for the church’s interior. Gamma’s Engineering team designed large cross-shaped LED pendants, built around four can style luminaires with Philips Fortimo DLM inside. Each luminaire was fitted with a round faceted reflector to add sparkle into the ceiling.

An ambient LED uplighter powered by Tridonic SLE and fitted with a glass scatter dome accessory was added to the pendant to illuminate the ceiling. The whole luminaire was dimmable for extra flexibility during the quiet periods outside of Mass.

To help with logistics, the main components were built independently and supplied with a detailed guide to allow easy assembly on site.

“Thanks to Gamma’s team and attention to detail at the design stage, the subsequent manufacture, scheduled delivery and on site installation went very smoothly”
